Venue: | Waterside United Reform Church |
Our friendly, wine loving group meets in the hall at Waterside United Reformed Church, Bath Road, on the second Tuesday of every month from September until June. For September 2021 we aim to meet in the afternoon at 4.00pm and finish around 6.00pm.
We enjoy informal presentations on varied themes by group members, but also keep up to date on industry trends by inviting local wine experts to come and present on various topics. We taste six different wines and rate them for quality and value. We keep the average cost per bottle to £10.00 which equates to around £5.00 per person. There is also an annual fee of £10.00 to pay for the Hall.
We usually have a BBQ in July with a tasting to match the food, and in October journey to a local vineyard for a tour followed by a 3 course pub lunch with wine pairing to complete the day.
