The talk is about our local area and the men who served on Hayling Island under the Combined Operations Pilotage Party Organisation. An Emsworth man was one of those who was awarded the DSC for his work in midget submarines off Normandy and in the Far East. Much has been written about this period but, for some reason, either in films or books, this part of the story is rarely told.
